The purpose of the class is to improve students' abilities to discuss academic topics in English. This means being able to say and support their ideas and being able to ask appropriate questions to help their discussion partners develop their ideas.
The themes are the same as BI; however, this time students will need to cooperate to share their ideas about these themes.
Students will attend face-to-face classes and continue to use the LMS (Google Classroom) from English BI to complete tasks. However, whereas in BI the tasks were completed individually, BII will require students to work in assigned groups to participate in, record, and upload discussions.
【この授業は全て対面で実施します】
In class, the teacher will give the students guidance and feedback about discussion skills. The teacher will assign groups to students for each unit (3 or 4 classes). In class the teacher will give feedback to help students complete a discussion that will contribute to their final grade.
【フィードバックの方法】
Feedback for the discussion tasks will be given with Google Classroom.
【授業時間外に必要な学習の時間:15時間】
Outside of classes, students need to review the lesson materials and prepare for the discussions. They can use the LMS (Google Classroom) to do this. If students need more practice time or are unable to finish the recordings in the classroom they can also use tools such as Zoom to prepare for or finish tasks.
